The result was spectacular.

As the players lined up for pre-game handshakes, the stands disappeared into a cloud of smoke as flares went off all over the ground.
Behind the smoke, fans hurled hundreds of fish in the direction of the Olympiakos bench:

This, combined with the flares, resulted in a delay to the start of the game but the antics worked with PAOK winning 1-0 on the night and going through on away goals.
